TEMPUS FUGIT
This is a cycle of new original compositions by Guthman, written for solo trumpet/flugelhorn and jazz trio, inspired by his twenty-year stay in Poland.
Each piece tells a different part of this fascinating journey — from an intense encounter with Polish culture in 2006, through years of searching, to reflections on the passage of time and the place where this outstanding trumpet soloist finds himself today.
The project is autobiographical, but not merely a personal record — it touches on the universal experience of finding meaning in a new environment.
He will be accompanied by the Mateusz Kaszuba Jazz Trio, resulting in a unique sound in which youthful spontaneity merges with musical maturity, expanding horizons and creating a distinctive atmosphere where experience and youth meet on equal terms.

Guthman has cooperated in concert with such renowned artists as Stan Kenton, Louis Bellson, The Dorsey Brothers Big Band as well as the Bee Gees, Tom Jones, Aretha Franklin, Paul Anka, Burt Bacharach, Tony Bennett, Michel Legrand, Anne Murray, Neil Sedaka and Michael Bublé.
MATEUSZ KASZUBA TRIO
The Mateusz Kaszuba Trio (featuring Mateusz Kaszuba – piano, Michał Rutkowski – double bass, Artur Małecki – drums) is one of the most compelling voices of the young Polish jazz scene. The ensemble has received three of the most important competition awards of recent years:

The trio’s sound is built on the idea of an equal instrumental dialogue. Improvisation functions here as the development of a narrative rather than an ornament. Their music is characterized by space, attentiveness, a strong awareness of form, and consistency in building tension. The trio’s aesthetic draws both from the jazz tradition and from contemporary rhythmic and sonic concepts.
The ensemble creates music based on mutual listening, form, and dialogue. Improvisation is not an embellishment, but a process of building a narrative — unfolding over time, from detail to culmination — while their concerts are marked by an energy that emerges from collective listening, freedom, and openness to the unexpected.
